The NFL is trying to book the musical halftime performance for Super Bowl LVIII.
According to reports, renowned global pop icon Taylor Swift has turned down the NFL’s offer to headline the prestigious halftime show.
Now the league is scrambling to find artists who are worthy of such a big stage.
Rumor has it that talks have been initiated with two other artists – Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles.

Cyrus, who is no stranger to the NFL stage, made a memorable appearance during the Super Bowl LV pre-show in 2021, sharing the limelight with rock legend Billy Idol.
Her meteoric rise in the music scene, including the release of the hit single “Flowers” and a subsequent album earlier this year, has positioned her as a strong contender for the Super Bowl spotlight.
Another name swirling in the halftime show rumor mill is Styles. The 29-year-old musician, who initially rose to fame as a member of One Direction, has since carved a successful solo career.
Winning prestigious Grammy awards and amassing a dedicated fanbase, Styles’ star power and talent make him hard to overlook as a potential act or co-act.
It goes without saying that there would be a significant portion of NFL fans who wouldn’t be too thrilled if either of these artists are selected. The NFL knows they have to do their due diligence and get the best act possible.
There’s a chance the halftime show could feature multiple artists – perhaps Cyrus, Styles and another act.
Either way, we should find out relatively soon.
What do you think of Cyrus and/or Styles as the halftime act?
In a perfect world, who would you want to perform the halftime show?
