Several teams are showing interest in Indianapolis Colts’ standout running back Jonathan Taylor, who recently expressed his desire to be traded.

ESPN’s Stephen Holder reports that out of the teams showing interest, six have checked in regarding Taylor’s status, while two have already put forward trade proposals.

Previously, Holder mentioned that the Colts are targeting a first-round draft pick or an equivalent value for Taylor, who was the 2021 rushing leader. This trade request was initiated by Taylor after discussions with Colts’ owner Jim Irsay, as highlighted by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Taylor, approaching the last year of his rookie deal, led the league in the 2021 season with 1,811 rushing yards and topped the charts with 18 rushing touchdowns. Even with six missed games in the past year, he accumulated an impressive 861 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Taylor’s rookie year in 2020 saw him amass 1,169 yards with 11 touchdowns. His contribution played a significant role in the Colts reaching the playoffs, although they faced elimination in the AFC Wild Card Round against the Buffalo Bills.

DraftKings sportsbook currently pegs the Miami Dolphins as the frontrunners to secure Taylor at +250 odds, trailed by the Chicago Bears at +400 and the Baltimore Ravens at +700.

The Colts are set to begin their 2023 campaign at home, squaring off against their AFC South competitors, the Jacksonville Jaguars, on Sept. 10 at 1:00 p.m. EST.
