Previously, Holder mentioned that the Colts are targeting a first-round draft pick or an equivalent value for Taylor, who was the 2021 rushing leader. This trade request was initiated by Taylor after discussions with Colts’ owner Jim Irsay, as highlighted by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Taylor, approaching the last year of his rookie deal, led the league in the 2021 season with 1,811 rushing yards and topped the charts with 18 rushing touchdowns. Even with six missed games in the past year, he accumulated an impressive 861 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
