Blake Corum Says Michigan Is The Most Talented Team In The Country (& It’s Hard To Disagree)

It’s no secret that Michigan is a legitimate national championship contender this season.

After all, this is shaping up to be unquestionably Jim Harbaugh’s best-ever Wolverine team – at least on paper.

But as we know, games aren’t played on paper, and they certainly aren’t won on paper.

Despite returning nearly every impact player from a year ago, Harbaugh and the Wolverines know they have to get it done on the field.

As the anticipation for September’s season-opener against East Carolina grows, Michigan is focused on avenging their heartbreaking Playoff loss from a year to go. They know they have unfinished business, and they are determined to take the next step.

Michigan is so talented this season that realistically anything short of a national title would have to be considered a disappointment.

Sure, a third-straight win over rival Ohio State would be massively sweet – but the time has come for Harbaugh to hoist the national championship trophy.

Someone who agrees with this sentiment is Heisman Trophy contender Blake Corum.

The star running back has confidently stated: “I think we have one of the most talented teams in college football, if not the most talented team.”

That’s not trash-talk. That’s just simple truth.

Maybe the hype and expectations prove to be too much for Michigan to handle. But I doubt it.

Corum, along with dual-threat quarterback J.J. McCarthy lead an explosive Wolverine offense. While on defense, they’re expected to be just as good, if not better.

The core of this talent-laden squad was on full display last season, and with another offseason of dedicated training and improvement under their belts, the Wolverines are poised to jump the final hurdle this time around.

Are you a believer in Michigan?

Are they indeed the most talented team in the country?

Is this the year they finally win the national championship?
