Beloved CFB Figure Reveals Who The SEC Should Go After & It’s NOT Who You Think … Perfect Fit??

As the college football season approaches, the landscape of the sport has undergone significant changes.

Major conference realignments have reshaped the traditional map, with USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington now competing in the Big Ten, and Texas and Oklahoma making their debut in the SEC.

Meanwhile, the ACC has welcomed Cal and Stanford into its ranks (which many people have forgotten all about).

The wave of expansion isn’t expected to stop anytime soon.

Despite SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey’s recent comments at media day, speculation about further additions continues to grow.

College football analyst David Pollack recently appeared on OutKick, suggesting that NC State and Virginia Tech would be strong candidates for the SEC.

“You know who fits in the SEC? NC State and Virginia Tech. Those are teams that, you go to those games, those are SEC environments,” Pollack said.

“Those are awesome shows, passionate college football fans, and you get those markets while not compromising the top of those markets. I could see those two teams being there.”

Pollack isn’t alone in his assessments.

ESPN’s Paul Finebaum has also weighed in, highlighting North Carolina as his top choice for SEC expansion.

The ACC is facing internal uncertainty, with powerhouse programs like Clemson and Florida State reportedly seeking exits.

This potential shakeup could trigger a domino effect, prompting teams like NC State, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina to explore new affiliations.

While many people thought Clemson and Florida State were prime targets for the SEC (and potentially the Big Ten), other respected programs sort of flew under the radar in discussions.

Virginia Tech and NC State, known for their vibrant game-day experiences and dedicated fan bases, present attractive options for the SEC.

Their inclusion would align with the conference’s commitment to high-caliber competition and expansive market reach.

What are your thoughts on Pollack’s suggestion?

Do you think Virginia Tech and/or NC State are truly SEC-worthy?

What will end up happening to those two along with Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina, Miami, etc???
