“Another Ass-Kicking”: Paul Finebaum Says Nick Saban Will Always Own Lane Kiffin

A lot of people thought last Saturday was going to be the day that Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin FINALLY knocked off Nick Saban.

After all, the timing had never been better for Kiffin.

He was driving his explosive, red-hot Rebs into Tuscaloosa to face a struggling Crimson Tide team that for the first time in a long time were dealing with questions and doubts across the board.

But at the end of the day, it was the same old story for Kiffin and the Rebels.

Saban and Alabama won soundly 24-10, thanks to a bounce-back game by quarterback Jalen Milroe who threw for 225 yards and a touchdown on 17-of-21 passing.

The Tide defense shut down what had been a high-flying Ole Miss offense – and once again, it was apparent that Saban had badly out-coached Kiffin.

Many were surprised at how the game played out. ESPN’s Paul Finebaum was not one of them.

“A win is just another ass-kicking of Lane Kiffin. Is that a big deal? That’s kind of an annual event for Nick Saban,” Finebaum said on The Matt Barrie Show.

“We need to accept that’s who Lane Kiffin is, and I don’t understand, Matt, why the media falls for Lane’s antics every week as if there’s going to be a payoff. Nick Saban can coach until he’s 100 years old, and he’s still going to beat Lane Kiffin every single time.”

Ouch. Strong words from Finebaum.

Makes you wonder if there’s something personal between Paul and Lane.

Regardless, what do you think about Finebaum’s harsh criticism?

Will Kiffin EVER beat Saban???
