Adidas recently took to social media to have some fun at the expense of Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant after he declined to wear Anthony Edwards’ new Adidas sneakers.
In a video featuring the Minnesota Timberwolves’ emerging star, Edwards proudly showcased his fresh Adidas kicks and was asked which NBA player he’d like to see try them on. Edwards playfully mentioned Durant’s name.
Durant, never one to mince words, responded to Edwards’ wish with a straightforward and less-than-complimentary comment.
Won’t EVER see me put a big toe in them Mfers. https://t.co/6dxKV55QPi

Adidas, not one to miss a social media opportunity, fired back at Durant through its official Adidas/X Twitter account. While the tweet was later deleted, a screenshot of the playful exchange captured the moment.
meant to send that from the burner account…

The sportswear brand responded to Durant once more, this time with a more light-hearted tone.
Despite turning 35 in September, Durant has continued to excel on the court. In the early part of this season, he’s been averaging an impressive 31.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. Alongside fellow veterans LeBron James and Stephen Curry, Durant has defied age-related expectations and remains a significant force in the NBA.
Durant was acquired by the Phoenix Suns in a midseason trade with the Brooklyn Nets last year. The Suns currently hold a 11-7 record, placing them fifth in the competitive Western Conference.
