Stephen A. Smith raised eyebrows with some unusual comments directed at his ESPN “First Take” co-host Molly Qerim, and her reaction on live television spoke volumes.
During Wednesday’s episode of the popular sports debate show, fans were convinced that Molly Qerim mouthed the words “what the f–k?” in response to Smith’s remarks.
Qerim had recently returned to the show after an extended break over the Christmas period, and it didn’t take long for Stephen A. Smith to do what he does best – passionately discussing various topics and sometimes making bold statements.
Smith was discussing why the Rose Bowl should be relocated from SoFi Stadium and used the example of Molly to illustrate the need for things to “grow” and “evolve.”
Stephen A. stated, “We adapt, we grow, we evolve. Swagu, you were playing football. Look at you now, you’re an exceptional football analyst on the No. 1 morning sports show. Look at Molly. Once upon a time, she was just a host. Now she’s a supermodel in people’s eyes for crying out loud. We see all these photos of her out everywhere and all this other stuff. The bottom line is this. We modify as time goes on.”
