BREAKING: Ohio State Buckeyes Secure Star Quarterback Through Transfer Portal

The Ohio State Buckeyes have made a significant addition to their roster for the upcoming 2024 season through the transfer portal. Will Howard, the former star quarterback of the Kansas State Wildcats, has announced his decision to join Ohio State, as reported by ESPN’s Pete Thamel. Howard, who spent his first four collegiate seasons with the Wildcats, stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 214 pounds.

In the 2023 season, Howard showcased his skills by achieving the best performance of his college career. He completed an impressive 61.3 percent of his pass attempts, accumulating 2,643 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Additionally, he contributed 351 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns, highlighting his versatility as a quarterback.

Ohio State has established itself as a quarterback development powerhouse in recent years, producing NFL talents like the late Dwayne Haskins (2019), Chicago Bears star Justin Fields (2021), and Houston Texans rookie C.J. Stroud (2023), all of whom were selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

The Buckeyes began the season with a perfect 11-0 record and had aspirations of qualifying for the four-team postseason tournament. However, their hopes were dashed when they suffered a 30-24 defeat to their archrivals, the Michigan Wolverines, on November 25th.
