It’s becoming clearer and clearer that Robert Saleh may not be head coach material.
Sure, he’s proven to be an excellent defensive coordinator in the league. However, as we all know, being a head coach is a totally different ballgame.
It’s not Saleh’s fault that Aaron Rodgers got injured on the very first offensive series of the season. However, he has failed to hold the team together and there is concern that he’s simply in way over his head.
There’s also concern that he’s far too big of a “cheerleader” to be a productive and respected head coach.
The Jets horrific 30-0 no-show loss to the Tyreek Hill-less Miami Dolphins on Sunday officially put an end to their playoff hopes … The franchise’s playoff drought now extends to 13 years – the longest in North American pro sports.
A report by Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic stated that Saleh is coming very close to losing the locker room, if he hasn’t already.
“There is losing games, and then there is losing the locker room, and Saleh is getting dangerously close to the latter. It might already be happening,” Rosenblatt said.

It might already be happening.
After another embarrassing #Jets loss, 30-0 to the Dolphins, it’s fair to wonder if he has what it takes to keep this…

Connor Hughes of SNY amplified how dire of a situation it is with Saleh and Gang Green.
“Coaches can endure losing seasons. They happen. The death knell is when he loses the locker room. The on-field performance and postgame quotes illustrate players are dangerously close to turning. They’ve made off-the-record remarks in recent weeks. Now they’re saying them in front of cameras,” Hughes said.
I believe Robert Saleh & Joe Douglas deserve another year to see this through with Aaron Rodgers. From my understanding: Woody Johnson still does not intend on making changes.
But few survive after losing locker room, and that feels dangerously close to happening with #Jets.… pic.twitter.com/c7QGGjEqQY

Should Saleh stay or should he go???
In reality, that’s most likely a decision that will be made by Aaron Rogers and NOT owner Woody Johnson.
For better or worse, Rodgers has more power within his organization than any other player in the NFL.
Simply put, if Rodgers wants Saleh to remain as head coach, he will.
I believe we have all seen enough. Coaches don't play in the game, but like every coach since Rex, he ain't gettin' it done. So, Rodgers guarantees we'll make the playoffs? #Namath

What do you think will end up happening?
“Should” Saleh be fired?
Will Rodgers end up wanting him back? … Does Saleh deserve another go-round???
