In the midst of speculation about Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.’s future in the NFL, a social media rumor is circulating that he is being offered a staggering amount of money to remain in Columbus for the 2024 season.
Despite widespread expectations that Harrison will make the jump to the NFL, the rumor has sparked intrigue and wild debate in the college football world.
The alleged offer, said to be around $20 million (!!!) in NIL deals, has opened eyes and raised eyebrows across the country.
However, On3 founder Shannon Terry has swiftly dismissed the rumor, labeling it as “incredibly inaccurate” and ranking it among the most erroneous speculations in the history of college sports.

“The noise regarding Marvin Harrison being offered/talked about ~$20 M in NIL deals is one of the most inaccurate rumors in the history of College Sports,” Terry stated unequivocally, putting an end to the speculation surrounding the astronomical offer.
The notion of a $20 million offer for a college athlete to stay in school is extremely hard to fathom, even in this new wild wild west world of college sports.
Of course they are because no one is giving a college kid 20 mil and he’s not coming back even if they do anyway

Meanwhile, Ohio State’s prominent NIL collective, The 1870 Society, is currently engaged in a “Signing Day Blitz,” showcasing the opportunities available to Buckeye athletes.
The push to bolster Ohio State’s NIL efforts could potentially impact the decisions of other football players contemplating whether to stay in college or enter the NFL Draft.
What did you make of the rumor regarding Harrison?
It certainly seems like it’s false … But will there end up being a day when we see that type of money being offered to college players???
