Mitch Trubisky Has A Clear Message For All Of His Haters … Will He Keep Pittsburgh In Playoff Contention??

With starting quarterback Kenny Pickett sidelined due to injury, Mitch Trubisky finds himself back in the limelight for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Addressing the media in anticipation of tonight’s matchup against the New England Patriots, the former #2 overall pick expressed excitement about the chance to lead a team once again.

“Anytime you get on the field, it’s a great opportunity … So, I’m looking forward to this for sure,” he said.

Trubisky, who will make his first NFL start since Week 15 of 2022, seemed eager to make the most of the situation.

During that last start, he went 17 of 22 for 179 yards, contributing to a 24-16 victory over the Carolina Panthers.

There’s no doubt (or is there?) that Pickett is the Steelers starting quarterback whenever he returns … But Trubisky knows that he has a great opportunity on his hands.

“We’re trying to score points,” he said. “I’m going to be aggressive. I’m going to take care of the football, and we’ve got to play better as an offense. We’re going against a good defense this week that is well-coached. So, we’ve got to do our job and execute.”

“We want to be an aggressive offense. So whatever that means, taking care of the football, we got to find ways to score points. That’s the bottom line,” he added.

As the Steelers prepare to face a struggling Patriots team (with a strong defense), Trubisky recognizes the importance of execution and ball security.

He knows, if Pittsburgh loses to THIS Patriots team, it’s going to get quite ugly inside Heinz Field (I refuse to call it Acrisure Stadium).

What are your thoughts on Trubisky?

Will he lead the Steelers to a much-needed victory tonight?

Looking at the big picture, what is your take on Pittsburgh this season???
