The New England Patriots have officially hit rock bottom.
At 2-9, what was once thought to be impossible now seems inevitable – Bill Belichick will (most likely) be coaching elsewhere next season.
Former NFL head coach, now ESPN analyst, Rex Ryan, didn’t hold back his thoughts on the disaster that Belichick and the Patriots have become.
Ryan felt the need to remind everyone that it is Tom Brady who is most responsible for the recent Patriots dynasty…
“Tom Brady was the only reason (Belichick) won anyway. I’m just telling you the difference … I said from jump they would never win again when that guy trotted down to Tampa. Because I know how draining [the Patriot Way] is to those kids,” Ryan said on ESPN’s “Get Up.”

While acknowledging Belichick as the greatest coach in history and recounting the countless defeats he suffered at the hands of him, Ryan adamantly emphasized: “If you think for a minute that it wasn’t about Tom Brady, you’re absolutely crazy.”
The former Jets and Bills head coach’s statements echo a sentiment shared by many others who argue that Brady was the linchpin of New England’s unprecedented success.
However, some may view Ryan’s critique as sour grapes, given his contentious history with Belichick.
Rex Ryan is coming for Bill Belichick! Lol 🤣🤣🤣 But he does have a point. Tom Brady hid a lot of holes and without Brady those holes have became more glaring. #NFL #PATRIOTS #nflnews #sportsnews pic.twitter.com/gZF9yTxeR7
