Veteran third baseman Justin Turner has officially become a hot commodity in the MLB free agency market.
Contenders always have a use for a smart, veteran player such as Turner who has been around the block more than a few times.
Don’t get me wrong – It’s not like Turner is the second coming of Mickey Mantle or anything … But he is expected to have multiple interested suitors.
One of the most interested is reportedly the NL champion Arizona Diamondbacks.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Arizona has set their sights on Turner, placing him “atop their wish list.”
Should the Diamondbacks sign Justin Turner to play third base in 2024?

The D-Backs are in dire need of a seasoned third baseman and are eager to pursue Turner to address the gap in their lineup and help push them over the top.
He’s most well-known for his years with the Los Angeles Dodgers, however, Turner was more than serviceable with the Boston Red Sox last season.
The (soon-to-be) 39-year-old finished the 2023 season with a .276 batting average, 23 home runs and 96 RBI’s in 146 games played … All very solid numbers.
