In a surprising turn of events, the suspension of head coach Jim Harbaugh seems to be having an unexpected positive impact on the Michigan football program.
Following the announcement of Harbaugh’s three-game suspension by the Big Ten due to the sign-stealing scandal, the Wolverines managed to secure a victory against Penn State on Saturday, and they still have crucial matchups ahead against Maryland and Ohio State.
Interestingly, the suspension has become a catalyst for fundraising, with Michigan raising over $50,000 for its Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiatives. On3 reported that a ‘Michigan vs. Everybody’ merchandise line, released by Valiant Management Group and The M Den on Friday morning, saw impressive results. Within 48 hours, over 10,000 products were sold, contributing to the substantial NIL fund for U-M student athletes.
