The Los Angeles Angels are entering a very important offseason filled with more questions than answers.
At the top of the list, is what will end up happening with two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani who will be a free-agent and is expected to leave the club for greener pastures.
They also have a managerial spot to fill – and that’s quite important as well.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, former Angels great Torii Hunter has thrown his hat into the ring and is said to be very interested in the job.

Notably, the five-time All-Star Hunter seems to have secured a special place in the heart of the Angels owner, Arte Moreno.
As per Nightengale’s report, Hunter’s “leadership and baseball acumen” have put him in a favorable position in the eyes of Moreno, making him a strong contender for the managerial role.
Love the idea of Torii Hunter as the new Angels manager. Was a true pro on the field…former teammate of Trout. Do it Perry.

Another big-name contender for the job is Buck Showalter who is said to be interested a well.
Who do you think the Angels should hire?
Do you think Hunter would make a good manager?
