Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis set social media on fire when he was spotted sitting with 26-year-old Hayden Hopkins in his luxury box.
The “influencer” Hopkins was thought to be the 70-year-old’s new girlfriend as imaginations started to run wild among football fans.
That was nothing compared to the reaction the football world had when Hopkins recently announced she was pregnant.
Naturally, fans speculated that Davis was the father as everyone jumped to conclusions.
However, Hopkins has since taken to social media to deny reports that Davis is the father.
“Reports of Mark Davis being the father of my child are wildly untrue,” Hopkins stated. “I was pictured sitting next to him at a game in 2022 and have endured false rumors of a romantic relationship since. I was just a guest sitting in the owner’s box with other friends.
“These continued media stories are negatively affecting what should be my happiest days. Joey and I are excited to welcome our baby this fall,” she added, shedding light on her partner, Joey, without providing further details.
With over 220,000 followers on Instagram, Hopkins is known for sharing professional and candid photos, primarily of herself.
Despite the public interest in her personal life, she has kept details about her relationship with “Joey” private.
Davis has always been a bit of a punching bag among football fans.
Some were hoping that his relationship with Hopkins was real and that he was indeed the father.
While others were glad to find out that the pair are just strictly friends.
Regardless, at least we now know the truth of the matter.
As for the Raiders, 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting season.
Vegas stars such as Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams rallied around Antonio Pierce as they pleaded with Davis to name him the permanent head coach.
Sure enough, they got their wish … Pierce and the Raiders will attempt to remove the stink left on the franchise by previous coach Josh McDaniels.
We’ll see who ends up winning the quarterback competition between Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew, but both have proven to be more than capable of winning games at the NFL level (especially Minshew).
One thing is for sure, Vegas doesn’t lack for talent and could be in position to be one of the league’s most surprising teams this coming season.
