Despite Caleb Williams and many of the other top quarterbacks getting the majority of the attention in the leadup to the NFL Draft, there are some people who feel that the best overall player is Georgia superstar tight end Brock Bowers.
The two-time national champion is an absolute freak. He presents a monstrous mismatch problem for defenses each and every time he steps foot on the football field.
The sooner you start looking at Brock Bowers as a unicorn rather than a tight end, the better.

As far as mock drafts go, some have Bowers going as high as #4, while others have him crazily dropping to the mid-first round.
Truth be told, it’s very hard to imagine him falling out of the top-10.
Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out…

We know certain teams are keeping an extremely close eye on Bowers.
The Los Angeles Chargers (#5) and New York Jets (#10) are said to be especially fascinated by Bowers.
However, there is a team outside of the top-10 that is expected to explore trading up to steal him: the Indianapolis Colts.
colts will need to trade up into the top 10. there is very little chance Bowers falls out of the top 10

According to a report from Kelsey Kramer of A to Z Sports, the Colts have Bowers towards the top of their wish list and are anxious to trade up to grab him.
“In fact, a source close to Georgia has shared with A to Z Sports that they are hearing the Colts are a team that’s looking to trade up into the top 10 for the former Bulldogs star,” the report stated.
Keep seeing the “Colts don’t need Bowers, TE isn’t a need.” posts.
Colts have TEs. They don’t have a Brock Bowers.

Currently sitting at #15, a move is certainly doable – but it would be relatively costly.
While the Colts, under the leadership of general manager Chris Ballard, have historically refrained from trading up in the first round, the allure of securing a dynamic playmaker like Bowers seems to be driving their potential change in strategy.
Georiga TE Brock Bowers shares that there were 15-20 people in the room during his meeting with the Colts.
“Everyone was in there.”

“Indianapolis has never traded up in the first round under general manager Chris Ballard, however, Bowers would be worth the jump as an elite playmaker and pro-ready tight end,” the report added.

The prospect of adding a talent like Bowers to their roster has ignited excitement among Colts fans, who have witnessed the team’s offensive resurgence in recent seasons.
With the anticipated return of young quarterback Anthony Richardson, the Colts are looking to build upon their surprising 2023 season.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 240 pounds, Bowers brings a unique blend of athleticism, hands, versatility and overall explosiveness to the field.
We know how important tight ends have become in the modern game, and Bowers has the potential to be one of the best.
REPORT: Brock Bowers ran a 4.53 40 time at his private workout. 15 NFL teams were in attendance (per @DawgNation)
This would be 94th percentile for the TE position. He lands with the #Jets in our latest mock draft. https://t.co/7A9eMV16mx pic.twitter.com/7QWl1reKvH

What are your thoughts on the Colts reported interest in trading up for Bowers?
How about Bowers as a player? … Are you a believer that he could be the single-best player in the entire draft?
At the end of the day, where do you think he will end up???
I don't think he'll be wearing 19
