Deion Sanders had quite the eventful first season in charge of the Colorado Buffaloes.
Despite bursting onto the national scene, things quickly soured for Coach Prime and the Buffs as their season ended on a bitterly disappointing six-game losing streak.

Fortunately for Colorado, Prime’s son – quarterback Shedeur Sanders – has decided to return to the Buffs for the 2024 season.
While his decision hardly came as a surprise, it was a major boost for a program still trying to find its way.
Sanders is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Having the last name Sanders certainly doesn’t hurt, but Shedeur knows he needs to improve his game in order to live up to his family legacy.
Coach prime says shedeur sanders would’ve been a high draft pick in THIS years draft
“He wouldn’t have been the first Qb but he would be the 2nd “
#1 draft pick in 2025 for sure 🔥🔥🦬#skobuffs #heismanszn pic.twitter.com/DtZxwBV6kK

Always one to make headlines, Coach Prime did just that during a recent appearance on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio.
While on the topic of Caleb Williams, Prime drew comparisons to his son. He also let it be known that he hopes the Chicago Bears don’t draft Williams.
Not because of his talent or him being a bad fit for the Bears – but because Chicago is too cold!
Each move the Bears have made this offseason has made it even more clear they plan to draft a quarterback in the first round.
Deion Sanders isn't so sure USC QB Caleb Williams is the best fit for them, even though he is projected to go No. 1.https://t.co/M21Gc3UPd1 pic.twitter.com/cFKnv1ySHn

He also stated that when the time comes, he hopes Shedeur isn’t drafted to a cold city team…

“Let me tell you something that I have a problem with,” Sanders began, addressing the possibility of Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner, joining the Chicago Bears. “And this kid can flat out play, I think he’s the best one on the board this year for sure. A kid that’s coming from California for the last couple of years, right? And went to Oklahoma. That’s not terribly cold.”
Sanders continued, highlighting the climatic differences between Williams’ previous locales and the chillier atmosphere of Chicago: “Chicago’s cold, man. You gotta think about that kind of stuff when you’re taking a young man,”
“From California to Chicago? Not only that, they added what? One or two more games in the NFL. Seventeen games. Come on, man. You gotta factor in that stuff. That stuff matters.”
Soft.

Sanders further elaborated on his concerns, drawing parallels to his son’s situation.
“Like, I don’t want my kid [Shedeur] going nowhere cold next year,” he emphasized. “He grew up in Texas. He played in Jackson, played in Colorado. Season’s over before it gets cold in Colorado. I’m just thinking way ahead. I don’t want that for him.”
Awe. Boo fucking hoo. Having to play in the cold in a cold weather sport. Shameful

Unfortunately for Deion’s hopes, it’s a near-lock that Chicago drafts Williams with the first-overall pick.
Right or wrong, that certainly seems to be the direction the Bears are heading in.
So what Deion Sanders is trying to say is: “I’m a whiney Lil’ Beotch”? Caleb grew up in cold weather homey. Go push your BS narrative on another fan base. It’s our time to shine now, GET OVER IT! pic.twitter.com/mmIxQhpmNE

What are your thoughts on Prime’s controversial take?
Of course, many fans think his mindset is very soft, especially considering the fact that football is a game meant to be played in the cold elements.
In the bigger picture, will Caleb Williams live up to the hype? … Will Shedeur???
