“FIRE HIS ASS!!”: Here Are The Controversial Odds For MLB Managers Most Likely To Be Fired … Who Will Be Canned First??

Despite the first MLB regular season game taking place this morning in South Korea between the Dodgers and Padres, the “real” Opening Day in Major League Baseball is still a week away.

Which means it’s not too early to take a peak at which manager is expected to be fired first this season!

According to BetOnline, New York Yankees skipper Aaron Boone is considered the favorite at +500 odds.

It’s no secret that Yankees fans are running out of patience, having not won a World Series in ages (2009).

However, Bombers owner Hal Steinbrenner and general manager Brian Cashman both love Boone. Just as important, the players do as well.

Boone has been given a longer leash than what many fans would prefer. The fact of the matter is Cashman likes having a puppet soldier in the dugout who will take orders from the front office … Boone has fit that bill perfectly.

In other words, it’s hard to imagine Boone being fired during the season, if at all.

According to BetOnline, Washington Nationals manager Dave Martinez is the second favorite to be fired first, at +600 odds.

Coming in third is Colorado Rockies manager Bud Black (+700) followed by Alex Cora of the Boston Red Sox (+1000) and Pedro Grifol of the Chicago White Sox (+1200).

What do you think of the odds?

Will we see any mangers fired in-season?

Who do you think will be the first to get the axe?

On a more positive note, what’s your (very) early World Series prediction???
