The Dallas Cowboys have been very quiet so far this offseason.
Even though free agency doesn’t “officially” kick off until later this afternoon, several agreements have already been reached and the Boys have been left in the dust.
However, that could soon be changing when it comes to one significant free agent.
According to reports, Dallas is interested in former Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon.
.@SlaterNFL mentioned the report about AJ Dillon being connected to the Dallas Cowboys just now on NFL Network
She noted that she believes the feeling is mutual
"I think what the Cowboys are looking to do here is trying to replicate a Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott situation"

The Packers said goodbye to Aaron Jones after he refused to take a massive pay-cut. Green Bay reportedly asked him to take a 50% (or greater) cut in order to remain with the Pack.
He refused – so Brian Gutekunst and company moved on and snagged Josh Jacobs to take his place.
While he could still technically work something out with the Packers, the expectation is that Dillon will soon find a brand-new home – and that home could very well be Dallas.
Let the #Cowboys cook I have reason to believe they are baking up something in the kitchen right now. Some thoughts after some calls today. pic.twitter.com/uetWzkELKb

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cowboys aren’t alone in the race for Dillon. Their competition includes a familiar foe, the rival New York Giants.
Giants sign Dillon and then you'll have the 2nd coming of thunder and lightening

Rapoport reported that the Indianapolis Colts are also expected to make a run at the former Boston College star.
If AJ Dillon comes to the colts he could play IRL farm simulator with Pittman Jr. Just saying. pic.twitter.com/yHHS3gaghY

Each of Dillon’s prospective suitors has recently grappled with losses in their running back corps.
The Giants bid farewell to Saquon Barkley, who joined the divisional rival Philadelphia Eagles. Meanwhile, the Colts saw Zack Moss depart for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cowboys parted ways with Tony Pollard, who headed to the Tennessee Titans.
I'm not opposed to the #Cowboys signing AJ Dillon.
I don't think he's great, but it would be an upgrade over what they have on the roster.

Despite a somewhat underwhelming 2023 season, Dillon’s contributions over his four-year tenure in Green Bay cannot be discounted.
Accumulating 2,428 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns during his time with the Pack, Dillon has consistently handled a significant workload since 2021.
Aj Dillon? If you want a Zeke type back just go get Zeke 😒

Where do you think Dillon will end up?
Would he be a better fit with the Cowboys, Giants or Colts?
What type of contract is he deserving of???
Master of the 1 yard run. He sucks
