In a move solidifying their offensive core, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have locked up one of the faces of their franchise – five-time Pro-Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans – to a two-year deal worth $52 million, with $35 million guaranteed.
Before free agency begins next week, the Buccaneers and five-time Pro-Bowl WR Mike Evans reached agreement on a two-year, $52 million that includes $35 million guaranteed, per his agent @DerykGilmore.

Set to enter free agency next week, Evans’ decision to resign with the Bucs shows both his loyalty to Tampa as well as his belief that the organization is headed in the right direction.
He’s a HOF WR, not a maybe.

Regarded as one of the most underrated players in the entire NFL, Evans is being rewarded.
Remarkably, the agreement also sets a record for receivers in Evans’ position, marking it as the most substantial contract for a wide receiver on his third deal, with an average of $26 million per season.

Evans developed a strong chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield last season. Although he’s set to become a free agent himself, most people expect Mayfield to remain in Tampa.
With Evans’ new deal set, that likelihood figures to be stronger than ever.
I thought his top priority was winning? Sad! Why he will never be a top receiver

Evans’ potential availability in free agency had drawn significant interest from multiple teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs who despite winning back-to-back Super Bowls are still in the need of a true #1 receiver.

What are your thoughts on Evans’ new contract?
Did the Bucs overpay? (Or did they need to in order to keep him?)
How much does Evans have left in the tank?
Where do you rank him among the best receivers of this generation?
Assuming Mayfield reaches a deal to stay in Tampa, do you think the Bucs are the favorites to win the NFC South once again next season???
