It may be the most childish thing one can do, but unfortunately “unfollowing” someone or something on social media has apparently become the way you’re supposed to express your feelings these days.
That’s precisely the tactic Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields has taken as he unfollowed the Bears on Instagram. (Sigh.)

The Bears have an extremely important decision to make as they own the #1 overall pick in the upcoming draft.
Fields has been a disappointment, and the organization needs to decide whether they feel he is capable of becoming a true franchise quarterback – or if they should draft his replacement in April.Â
Adding extra spice to his passive-aggressiveness, Fields recently followed Kyle Pitts, Drake London and Bijan Robinson on Instagram – leading some to think he may wind up with the Atlanta Falcons…

As for the Bears, they hold all the cards.
Luckily for them, it looks to be the best quarterback draft class in years.
North Carolina’s Drake Maye and USC’s Caleb Williams are regarded as can’t-miss prospects.
It doesn’t stop there however … LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Oregon’s Bo Nix and Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy are also expected to be drafted in the first round – along with possibly others such as Washington’s Michael Penix Jr.Â

It’s becoming clearer and clearer that a fresh start may be best for both Fields and the Bears.
As a Georgia-native, perhaps a move to Atlanta is exactly what Fields needs to resurrect his career and realize the potential he once seemed to have.Â

Many insiders around the league feel like when push comes to shove, the Bears will end up drafting Williams.
Chicago has been starving for a franchise quarterback. They thought they had something cooking with Fields. However, both Williams and Maye seem like an instant upgrade.Â

Albert Breer of TheMMQB recently shared some insight into Chicago’s thinking as they evaluate their options at quarterback.
As it turns out, the Bears were approached by multiple teams at the Senior Bowl to discuss possibly trading him…
“Chicago staffers got inquiries from other teams on Fields in Mobile. And while the Bears haven’t shopped Fields, those conversations did allow the team to start to gauge the 2021 first-rounder’s worth out there on the market … The Bears are meeting over the next couple weeks to finalize plans at quarterback, with the expectation that they’ll have the plan in place in Indianapolis next week,” Breer reported.Â

Of course, the Bears could end up going against the grain and deciding to stick with Fields at quarterback.
That would figure to be a very unpopular decision in Chicago, but it’s certainly a possibility…
If the #Bears ultimately stick with Justin Fields at QB, @nflnetwork listed the #Patriots as one of four teams to trade potentially trade for the #1 pick.

What do you think will end up happening with Fields?
Will the Bears decide to keep him?
Or will they draft Williams (or Maye) and ship Fields out of town?
If they do, where do you think would be the best place for Fields to try and save his career???
