It would be hard to find two people who love talking more than Deion Sanders and Marlon Humphrey.
The book is clearly still out on Sanders as a coach, but there’s no denying how great of a player he was. Humphrey may not be in Prime territory, but he’s a pretty damn good player himself.
He also likes giving his opinion on anything and everything.
One opinion that he’s made clear several times in the past is that Bill Belichick is overrated and not nearly the legend that people make him out to be.
Doubling down on his take, Humphrey recently took a victory lap for Belichick being shut out of the current coaching cycle (although there are reports that he was indeed offered the Atlanta Falcons job).
“The ‘greatest coach of all time’ did not get hired out of 6 Head Coaching jobs open. I think that debate can be put to rest now,” Humphrey tweeted on X.

Sanders, affectionately known as Coach Prime, is no stranger to speaking his mind. Just last week, he didn’t shy away from criticizing the quality of the roster he inherited upon taking the reins of the Colorado football program.
“The roster was so horrendous we had to flip it,” Sanders admitted candidly. “We inherited some bull junk. So, we flipped it. Now we really have what we need, not just bodies walking around aimlessly.”
Sanders faces a vital season in 2024 as he tries to turn around his Buffaloes – but that’s a story for another day.
As far as Humphrey, don’t expect him to be changing his opinion on Belichick anytime soon…
