The Detroit Lions are trying to move on from the pain of their NFC Championship Game collapse against the San Francisco 49ers.
To think, Detroit came so very close to advancing to their first ever Super Bowl in franchise history…
Blowing a 17-point lead the way they did only adds salt to the wound.

Unfortunately for Lions wide receiver Josh Reynolds, he contributed massively to the collapse … He had two key third-quarter drops that would have each resulted in crucial fourth-downs.
There’s nothing he could say that would make himself, the team or the fans feel better about the outcome of the game – However, the majority of Lions fans were annoyed by his comments when asked about the killer drops.

“Sh*t happens, man,” Reynolds said about the drops.
“I know what kind of player I am. Didn’t want to drop them … Sh*t happens … Do I want those back? Of course. But I can’t, and I just got to work this offseason and be prepared for the moment when it comes,” he added.

The last part of his quote is both true and productive.
No, he can’t have those moments back. There’s nothing he can do about them now. However, he can use the disappointment as fuel and work as hard as he can to ensure he doesn’t repeat his mistakes.
Having said that, the “sh*t happens” angle rubbed some Lions fans the wrong way.

The soon-to-be 29-year-old finished the game against San Francisco with only one catch (on four targets) for 25 yards.
For the season, Reynolds hauled in 40 receptions for 608 yards and five touchdowns.
Lions quarterback Jared Goff had his teammate’s back. He attributed the drops to mere “mistakes” and said Reynolds has been “an absolute stud” all season long.

What are your thoughts on Reynold’s drops?
Did his “sh*t happens” comment bother you? … Or do you think fans are overreatcing?
As far as the Lions, what do you think they need to do to get back to the NFC Championship Game and actually win it???
