CONTROVERSY: Joel Klatt’s 2024 College Football Rankings GO VIRAL … Where Did He Go Wrong??

Along with ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit, Joel Klatt of FOX Sports is a good as it gets when it comes to analyzing college football.

On his popular “The Joel Klatt Show” podcast, Klatt congratulated the Michigan Wolverines on their dominant season as they marched towards an undefeated national championship.

Since that glorious night in Houston, Michigan has seen the departure of head coach Jim Harbaugh and several key players including quarterback J.J. McCarthy and running back Blake Corum.

As we all know – and Joel is no different – it’s NEVER too early to look ahead to next season.

That’s exactly what Klatt did on a recent edition of his podcast where he revealed his early top 10 rankings for the 2024 season.

Unsurprisingly, he has the mighty Georgia Bulldogs as the #1 team in the country.

“You can’t recruit like they have, you can’t be 29-1 in your last 30 games and not be #1 in the country,” Klatt said of the Bulldogs.

Ohio State follows closely at #2 in the early projections, with Klatt suggesting that the Buckeyes are poised for a significant run next season, which may be an understatement considering how incredible their offseason has been thus far…

Klatt’s complete rankings goes as follows…

#1. Georgia Bulldogs

#2. Ohio State Buckeyes

#3. Oregon Ducks

#4. Texas Longhorns

#5. Alabama Crimson Tide

#6. Ole Miss Rebels

#7. Michigan Wolverines

#8. Utah Utes

#9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

#10. Penn State Nittany Lions

Remarkably, eight of Klatt’s top 10 teams hail from either the Big Ten or SEC, showcasing the continued dominance of these power conferences.

What do you think of Klatt’s rankings?

What do you agree and disagree with?

Yes, it’s wayyy early – but who do you think will win the national championship next season???
