WILD REPORT: Bill Belichick Set To Replace Andy Reid As Head Coach Of The KANSAS CITY CHIEFS?!? … Do You Buy It??

The Atlanta Falcons shocked the football world with their decision to hire Raheem Morris as their next head coach.

The hire meant that the Falcons officially passed on Bill Belichick, who they had interviewed not once – but twice – for the job.

There were rumors of a power struggle with Belichick making it clear the amount of control he would require. Owner Arthur Blank was said to be sold on Belichick – however his right-hand man Rich McKay apparently talked him out of it.

With Seattle and Washington now the only two (current) openings remaining – and with the Commanders seemingly a lock to hire Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, there’s a very real chance Belichick will be left without a chair when the music stops.

HOWEVER, according to juicy rumors, Belichick may be taking over as head coach of the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!

That’s right … There’s belief by some that Andy Reid plans to retire once the Chiefs season is over and rumor has it that Belichick would be the one taking the baton from Big Red.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter touched on the speculation during an appearance on “Get Up.”

“The only thing I would just say, and again, and this is purely speculative: I want to be very clear. And we’re just throwing this out there, having some fun, but we’ve heard over and over about the possibility that, at some point in time, Andy Reid could walk away from football.”

“If the Chiefs were to win the Super Bowl this year, could that, would that, make him more likely to walk? And if he did walk, at that point in time and you’re the Kansas City Chiefs and Bill Belichick were still sitting out there, would that not be an interesting possibility? If that’s what Andy Reid decided to do,” he added.

Get Up host Mike Greenberg acknowledged the weight of Schefter’s words, saying: “Listen, you are, like, the fourth person who has said that to me, and you’re by far the most important one who has said it to me.”

“Everyone else who has said that to me and, again, everyone just speculating, ‘Could Andy Reid be about to walk away?’ Where there’s a little bit of smoke, and if Schefty’s willing to joke about it, it feels like there’s a little bit of fire,” he added.

For what it’s worth, Reid recently addressed the idea that his coaching career is coming to an end…

“I haven’t even thought about that. I’m thinking about one thing … I figured that would come up when you guys were asking these questions because I’m old – but not that old,” he said.

Reid and Belichick are friendly … Perhaps he gave Belichick a heads up that he plans to retire after the season – and that’s why Belichick was playing extra “hard-to-get” during his interviews with the Falcons.

Can you imagine Belichick taking over the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS???

He’d be inheriting one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time – IN HIS PRIME.

In other words, if Belichick wants to add multiple rings to his legacy and swing back in this whole “Belichick vs. Tom Brady” war, what better spot to be in than Kansas City???

Maybe it’s not true … After all, why would Reid want to leave in the middle of a budding-dynasty?

However, until we hear FOR SURE otherwise, we’d be foolish to completely dismiss the rumor.

With only three NFL games left (how depressing is that?), we’re about to enter full-blown rumor season … And this is perhaps the sexiest rumor of all.

Will Bill Belichick be taking over as head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs???
