Last Sunday provided us with another dramatic edition of what has become one of the fiercest rivalries in all of football.
Patrick Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs managed to silence the doubters and knock off Josh Allen and the Bills – this time IN Buffalo.
Allen did everything he could to will the Bills to a win. Very few players have to shoulder as much responsibility as Allen does in Buffalo. He played great, but ultimately it was not enough to beat their nemesis…
Josh Allen PLAYED HIS ASS OFF against the Kansas City Chiefs. There is no way you actually watched that game and come away from it saying he isn’t great. pic.twitter.com/inIDba3Jtx

As the clock struck zero, the cold reality set in for a shaken Allen who will have to go another year without sniffing the Super Bowl.
After the game, amidst the disappointment, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce shared a heartfelt moment with Allen at midfield.
Kelce expressed admiration for Allen and did his best to console him, saying: “You know it’s all the love in the world, baby. Love you, brother. Helluva job getting here. That shit’s crazy that you got here.”

Mahomes had yet another big-game performance, leading the Chiefs to their sixth straight AFC Championship Game appearance.
Kelce caught both of his touchdown passes as the pair passed Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski for most postseason touchdowns by a duo in NFL history.

Allen now faces yet another long offseason as he continues to try to get Buffalo over the hump.
He played at an MVP level for large stretches of the season – but at the end of the day, it wasn’t enough.

Football is the ultimate team sport for a reason … No one player can win a game by themselves.
While Allen was far from perfect, some crucial drops (and Tyler Bass’ missed field goal) helped doom the Bills season.

What do you make of the Buffalo Bills?
As talented as they are, they always come up short … This loss has to be extra painful because they finally had the matchup at home.
Are the Bills holding Josh Allen back?
What does the front office need to do to improve the team this offseason???
