Sean Payton is trying to change the culture in Denver and restore pride to the historic Broncos franchise.
They almost made the playoffs this season. However, it’s clear they have a whole lot of work to do to get back to being true contenders.
When the 2024 season kicks off, Payton’s Broncos will reportedly be sporting brand new uniforms.
Luckily for us, the alleged design of the uniform has been leaked…
Broncos president Damani Leech, reflecting on the team’s approach to this potential change, emphasized the importance of balancing the rich history of the uniform that contributed to Super Bowl victories with the evolving tastes and styles of the present era.
“If there is a theme across our 32 [teams] — and you hear this across sports, not just football — is there is a tendency for clubs to do things the same way,” Leech said.
“The organizations who have been really successful from a business standpoint have had a growth mindset and an innovation mindset. Have zigged when others have zagged. [It] doesn’t always work, but definitely take chances to try to connect with fans in new and unique ways.”
“That’s no more important now than it’s ever been with all the different opportunities that fans have for entertainment, not just sports entertainment,” he added.

“I definitely have that approach and that mindset to it. I think uniforms is a good example of that, where you have to try to balance history and tradition and three Super Bowls wearing this uniform, but also understanding that tastes evolve, your customer evolves, connecting with fans and representing your brand in the best way is important to do,” he continued.
“Again, no proclamations on Day 1, but it is also one of those things I certainly will be looking at.”

While the Broncos have recently modified their Color Rush uniform, incorporating a new alternate white helmet, a large portion of the fan base is eager for a more comprehensive uniform change, aligning with the trend seen among several other NFL teams in recent years.
(Of course, you’re never going to make everyone happy…)
If this leaked concept of the Broncos new uniform is accurate then the NFL and Broncos organization needs to sue Nike for brand. The topography numbers makes the Buccaneers’ digital clock numbers look great by comparison.

Recognizing the challenges of keeping uniform designs under wraps in the age of social media and leaks, the Broncos might opt to (officially) reveal their new look sooner rather than later.
