WATCH: THIS Pro Bowl QB Is Openly Begging To Play For Bill Belichick … Will They Team Up Together In Atlanta??

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is eyeing the possibility of joining forces with legendary coach Bill Belichick as he enters free agency in March.

Although Cousins has never played for Belichick, the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach has more than earned his respect.

“I’m not going to turn down an opportunity to play with a future Hall of Fame coach, but we’ll have to see where March leads,” Cousins told CBS Sports. “It’s just a lot of unknowns right now.”

“You know he is usually going to break the mold and do something different, and that’s probably what has made him a great coach,” Cousins said of the future Hall of Fame coach.

The quarterback’s future with the Minnesota Vikings is uncertain after he tore his Achilles in Week 8 against the Packers. He had been in the middle of one of the best seasons of his career.

Despite the injury, Cousins remains optimistic about his return to the field and is keeping his options open for the next chapter of his career.

“I certainly want to play a few more years of football, so I’m hoping that in the remaining years left before me and my football career that I won’t be sitting around watching playoff football, but that I’ll be playing playoff football,” he said.

As the speculation regarding Cousins’ future continues, the same goes for Belichick, who recently parted ways with the New England Patriots after 24 seasons.

While there is no official word on Belichick’s next destination, he has been linked heavily to the Atlanta Falcons, with reports suggesting that they’re the favorites to land him.

Cousins emphasized his great respect for Belichick as a coach, acknowledging the remarkable achievements throughout his unprecedented career.

“When you play him, you are kind of looking over your shoulder wondering if what you are seeing is correct because you know he is usually going to break the mold and do something different,” Cousins said.

What are your thoughts on Cousins potentially teaming up with Belichick?

If Belichick does indeed take the Falcons job and brings Cousins to Atlanta, would you look upon them as legitimate Super Bowl contenders?

How many more years does Cousins have left at an elite level???
