Hall of Fame legend Brett Favre is one of the greatest players in NFL history.
He still closely follows the game he loves, and he couldn’t help but share his thoughts on what many football fans have been thinking.
Favre believes that Taylor Swift has been a distraction for Travis Kelce.
While still one of the best tight ends in the league, Kelce has been uncharacteristically unreliable at times this season and has dropped balls that he normally catches in his sleep.
Perhaps it’s just a coincidence. Perhaps he’s just getting old … But most people feel that Kelce isn’t as focused as he has been in the past – and it’s most likely because of Swift.

Favre recently shared his thoughts with TMZ Sports. He made it clear that he believes Swift will be blamed for being such a “distraction” if the Chiefs don’t make the Super Bowl.
“If they don’t win it or get to the Super Bowl, people are going to say, ‘That’s why,'” Favre said of Swift.

Favre also said that he has the upmost respect for Andy Reid and the Chiefs and still considers them the favorites in the AFC.
“Until Andy Reid is unseated as the champion, I have to see it to believe it,” he said.

Favre isn’t the only Hall of Famer to criticize Swift.
Former Super Bowl champion head coach Tony Dungy recently spoke about how all of the attention on Swift is extremely annoying to real football fans.
“That’s the thing that’s disenchanting people with sports now … There’s so much on the outside coming in. Entertainment value and different things that’s taking away from what really happens on the field,” Dungy said.
It’s quite annoying.

In fairness, Swift is not the one telling the broadcasts to constantly show her during games (or maybe she is?)
She has every right to support her boyfriend in any way she sees fit. However, it’s certainly understandable why the vast majority of football fans have grown sick and tired of the Kelce-Swift relationship and all the over-the-top attention that comes with it.

On the exact opposite side of this topic is ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith who took the time to tell Dungy to (respectfully) shut up.
“It’s getting ridiculous how she’s being criticized by some, insulted by others, blamed by many. Grow up. And in the case of Tony Dungy … it’s like, come on man. Can we stop this, sir? Please. Respectfully, please,” Smith said.
