In an expected move, USC quarterback Caleb Williams announced that he is officially entering the NFL Draft.
He had flirted with the possibility of returning to the Trojans – but not many people, if any, took that seriously.
Things could certainly change between now and April, but Williams is expected to be drafted first overall.

Williams’ formal entry into the draft raises questions about the Chicago Bears offseason strategy, specifically regarding their current quarterback, Justin Fields.
The Bears face a major decision of whether to retain Fields or potentially trade him and draft Williams first overall…
Ryan Poles passed on Jalen Carter over Character of the man. Didn’t even have him on the draft board

Williams is considered to be a generational talent.
He has a very unique skill set and has often been compared to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

There are concerns about Williams’ maturity level. Some analysts consider him to have “diva-qualities” which could potentially raise red flags among teams.
His 2023 season at USC was largely disappointing. He failed to duplicate the Heisman Trophy winning season he had in 2022.
However, his raw talent is undeniable … Many scouts consider him to be close to a “sure thing” as an NFL prospect.
