Former head coach and current ESPN NFL analyst caused quite a stir when discussing the Dallas Cowboys shocking playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers.
It was a stunning no-show from “America’s Team.”
Nobody showed up and nothing went right … Quarterback Dak Prescott was far from the only problem – but he was still a major problem.
However, Ryan didn’t exactly see it that way…
“Dak Prescott is not solely responsible for the loss. The team as a whole failed to execute in crucial moments, and we can’t pin it all on the quarterback … Don’t you dare blame Dak Prescot for this game!” he said on “Get Up.”

Prescott, who is hoping to secure a (possibly historic) contract extension, didn’t do himself any favors as he was severely outplayed by first-year starter Jordan Love.
Once an MVP candidate, Prescott disappeared when he was needed most.
Rex Ryan: "Don't you dare blame Dak Prescott"
HE SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO READ OFF DAK'S STATS WHEN MOST OF THOSE STATS WERE EMPTY GARBAGE TIME STATS LOL

Again, he was far from the only problem – but Cowboy fans made it clear they were sick and tired of all the excuses for Prescott’s continued playoff flops.
Dak Prescott must have some blackmail on Rex Ryan.

CeeDee Lamb’s uninspired effort certainly didn’t help matters.
The usually-explosive wide receiver looked like he had zero interest in playing football on Sunday.
His body language was poor throughout and he seemed to have a few flare-ups with Prescott during the game.
Jerry Jones should listen to Rex Ryan, actually. Don’t fire Mike McCarthy. Stay with Dak Prescott. As an Eagles fan, I’d love to continue seeing this every year 🤣

Jones has made it clear just how highly he thinks of Prescott – at least up till now.
You have to wonder just how big of a hit Prescott took in Jones’ book after Sunday’s debacle.
Either way, Dallas fans were furious at Ryan protecting Dak from criticism.
Rex Ryan dying on the Dak Prescott hill is insane but expected

Commitment and work-ethic are not issues for Prescott … If anything, you get the feeling that he’s almost trying “too hard.”
He puts a whole lot of added pressure on himself because he wants to win so bad … But clearly something isn’t working.
Maybe he’s just not good enough…
What are your thoughts on Prescott?
Will he ever be a truly elite quarterback in the NFL?
Should the Cowboys consider moving off of him???
