The Kansas City Chiefs are heading back to the Super Bowl.
Despite being underdogs, quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a euphoric 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.
In locker room footage captured after the game, Mahomes and his teammates celebrated the well-earned win.
However, fans couldn’t help but notice one glaring thing – Mahomes’ “dad bod.”

Mahomes’ physique took some fans off-guard and the clip quickly went viral on social media.
Mahomes quickly defended himself on X.
“Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!? #DadBodSZN,” he tweeted.

Fans quickly jumped into the conversation, with some encouraging Mahomes to embrace the “dad bod” with pride.
After all, he’s far from the only quarterback sporting a classic dad bod…

Mahomes surely feels much better knowing he’s not the only Super Bowl MVP with a less-than-sculpted physique.
Like it or not this is what peak athletic performance looks like. The might not be a more valuable athlete in the world.

All jokes aside, what Mahomes and his go-to weapon Travis Kelce are doing is nothing short of remarkable.
Just when you thought Kelce was showing his age and Mahomes’ lack of wide receiver talent was going to hold him back, there they were in Baltimore turning back the clock…
"He can't guard him!"@PatrickMahomes was letting them hear it after that @tkelce touchdown. 🗣️@InsideTheNFL now streaming on @Netflix pic.twitter.com/c7eoyTbq5A

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like the Chiefs offense set the world on fire against the Ravens.
However, Mahomes has the luxury this year of playing with the best defense he’s ever had during his NFL career – so he knows he doesn’t have to be Superman on every snap.
The play is never over when you've got Playoff Trav & @PatrickMahomes 🔥

What are your thoughts on Mahomes and the Chiefs?
Do you think they’ll beat the 49ers in the Super Bowl?
If they do, how close do you think that will bring Mahomes to passing Tom Brady as the greatest quarterback of all-time???
