Prominent CFB Guru Claims Back-2-Back Champs Georgia Are NOT A Playoff Team: Do You Agree??

The Georgia Bulldogs have done everything that’s been asked of them thus far in their quest to 3-peat as national champions.

No, they haven’t played the toughest of schedules, but they’ve been dominant for the most part and have gotten better each and every week.

Losing Brock Bowers to an ankle injury is an enormous blow. After all, he is arguably the single-best player in the entire country.

Having said that, if any team is equipped to overcome losing such a great player, it’s Kirby Smart’s Dawgs.

Bowers will most likely return for Georgia’s postseason run. Although there will be plenty of outside voices urging him to shut it down and not risk hurting his sky-high draft stock.

Michigan may very well be the best team in the country. However, Georgia is clearly more than deserving of a place in the top four.

That goes without saying … Well, maybe not.

ESPN’s Heather Dinich doesn’t think the Bulldogs are worthy of a top four spot … In other words, she doesn’t believe they are a Playoff team (yet).

Instead, she thinks Washington, Florida State, Oklahoma, and Michigan will make up the Playoff field.

“Georgia is not in my top four right now,” Dinich declared on ESPN’s “Get Up.”

“They only have one win against a Power 5 team with a winning record, no wins against ranked teams, and everybody else is a combined 10–24 in the FBS … Why in the world does Georgia deserve to be #1 right now?”

You can certainly make the argument that they are not deserving of the top spot … But to say they are not worthy of being ranked in the top four is just foolish.

What do you think of Dinich’s stance?

Who are your Playoff teams as of now?

How far do you think Georgia will end up going this year? … Will they 3-peat???
