He may have his enemies, but there are few coaches in the history of college football as sharp and smart as Urban Meyer.

The three-time national champion coach is currently an analyst for FOX Sports.

Speaking to Tim May, Meyer gave a very interesting take.

He compared Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe to Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush.

“Right now the Reggie Bush, Percy Harvin of college football is playing quarterback at Alabama, and they’re running him,” Meyer said, via On3.

“He had 130 yards rushing, 20-something carries, 25 carries, and there are a couple of clips on that videotape that he is, other than Marvin Harrison, he’s the best athlete in college football and he’s touching the ball every snap at Alabama,” he added.

That comparison is nothing to sneeze at. After all, Bush is one of the most dynamic and explosive playmakers in college football history.

Milroe’s impact was pivotal in Alabama’s recent victory over LSU, with the young quarterback rushing for an impressive 155 yards and scoring four touchdowns, helping the Tide secure a massive 42-28 win over their fierce rivals.

His recent performances have been instrumental, with five rushing touchdowns in his last three games, demonstrating his crucial role in Alabama’s offense.

The season got off to a very rough start for Milroe. Nick Saban actually benched him – but with neither backup quarterback showing any promise, Saban went back to Milroe, and he hasn’t disappointed.

He’s thrown for 1,836 passing yards and 13 touchdowns, along with 297 rushing yards and nine rushing scores.

He’s a talented, but flawed quarterback … But to his credit, he is playing to his strengths and keeping Alabama in Playoff contention.

At 8-1, the Tide will look to keep rolling when they travel to Kentucky tomorrow to take on the Wildcats in yet another SEC showdown.
