BREAKING: Shocking New Details Emerge In Patrick Mahomes’ Father’s DWI Arrest As He Now Faces TEN YEARS In Prison…

Patrick Mahomes Sr., father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Saturday night, just a week ahead of his son’s highly anticipated Super Bowl matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Mahomes Sr. was reportedly pulled over shortly before 8pm local time in Texas with an open 16-ounce Coors beer in the center console of his vehicle.

When questioned by police about his decision to drink while driving, Mahomes Sr. reportedly stated that he “had a few beers while watching a game at a local bar.”

This marks the third DWI for Mahomes Sr., a former MLB pitcher who had stints with the New York Mets.

Previous citations for similar incidents were recorded in 2008 and 2019, according to police records.

During the traffic stop, Mahomes Sr. agreed to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.

The affidavit indicates that he displayed multiple clues of intoxication during the tests, including four during the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus eye test, five during the Walk and Turn test, and two during the One Leg Stand.

The arresting officer wrote in the affidavit, “Based on the totality of the circumstances, I believed Patrick was impaired to a perceptible degree while operating a motor vehicle in a public place.”

Police initially noticed Mahomes Sr.’s vehicle during a routine patrol, observing that it was driving slower than other traffic.

A registration check on the vehicle revealed an expiration date of 2022, prompting the initiation of a traffic stop.

Since this is his third DWI offense, Mahomes Sr. faces up to ten years in prison.

With the Super Bowl just days away, many wonder just how big of a distraction this may be for Patrick (Jr.)

The circumstances are very different, but there’s no denying the tragedy caused by Andy Reid’s son three years ago was undoubtedly a distraction for the Chiefs in their Super Bowl loss to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Between Patrick’s father and brother (Jackson), the legal problems just seem to keep on coming.

Patrick deserves a lot of credit for always keeping his nose clean and staying out of trouble.

Needless to say, this is a headache he could have done without, especially during one of the biggest weeks of his live.

Do you think he will be distracted in any way, shape of from because of his father’s arrest? … Or will he be able to maintain his trademark laser-focus on the task at hand?

Who do you think will win the Super Bowl???
