In a surprising turn of events, Trevor Etienne, the standout running back and younger brother of Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travis Etienne, has revealed his next football destination. Etienne, who spent two years with the University of Florida, is set to join the University of Georgia Bulldogs for the upcoming season.

Etienne shared his decision through an announcement to Hayes Fawcett of On3.com, signaling his commitment to the Bulldogs. This move comes after his recent entry into the transfer portal.

Having two years of college eligibility left, Etienne aims to make a significant impact with the Bulldogs. During his sophomore year with the Gators, he rushed for an impressive 753 yards and scored 8 touchdowns.

Georgia is actively bolstering its roster through the transfer portal, with Etienne being the latest addition. Earlier, the Bulldogs secured talents like Vanderbilt wide receiver London Humphreys, Miami wide receiver Colbie Young, and South Carolina defensive lineman Xzavier McLeod.

The Bulldogs’ running back situation has seen changes, with seniors Kendall Milton and Daijun Edwards likely departing for the NFL, and Branson Robinson recovering from a season-long injury in 2023. Etienne’s early participation in spring practice positions him to contribute significantly to the Bulldogs’ offensive strategy.
