It was quite a scene in Philadelphia yesterday.
What was billed as the biggest game of the NFL season quickly turned into a demolition as the San Francisco 49ers destroyed the Eagles 42-19.
In the most bizarre moment of the game, Niners linebacker Dre Greenlaw made a tackle on Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith along the Philadelphia sideline … The intensity escalated when Greenlaw lifted Smith off his feet and forcefully slammed him to the ground, prompting a penalty flag from the officials.
Sticking up for Smith was Eagles head of security, Dom DiSandro, who confronted Greenlaw over the tackle.

Following the game, NFL senior vice president of officiating Walt Anderson clarified that Greenlaw’s ejection was due to the contact made with DiSandro.
Anderson explained that DiSandro was also removed for contributing to the escalation by making contact with Greenlaw.

DiSandro, who has been with the Eagles since 1999 and serves as a senior adviser to general manager Howie Roseman, oversees safety and security matters for the team.
Despite the incident, DiSandro stuck around to greet Eagles players as they made their way to the locker room after the blowout loss.
