Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made global headlines by announcing that he’s considering New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers as his VP running mate.
No, that’s not a typo.
It’s well known that the two are very friendly, however the news that Rodgers is actually under consideration for such a role caught many by surprise.

RFK Jr. is expected to run as an Independent in November’s Presidential Election and has reportedly spoken to Rodgers “pretty continuously” over the past month about possibly teaming up.

He is said to also be considering former Minnesota Governor and professional wrestler Jesse Ventura as a possible running mate.
For obvious reasons, the news set the football world on fire…

For Rodgers’ Jets teammate, star cornerback Sauce Gardner, the news made perfect sense.
Apparently, Rodgers had been slow to respond to messages this offseason, but his rumored political aspirations is a valid excuse in Gardner’s book.
“Ohhhh, Aaron bouta become the VP.. That’s why he ain’t been answering my text messages,” Gardner tweeted on X.

While it’s a fun story to talk about, if we’re being realistic, there is virtually no chance Rodgers ends up being RFK Jr’s running mate.
Of course, most people won’t let that stop them from speculating…

What are your thoughts on Kennedy considering Rodgers?

As far as Rodgers the quarterback is concerned, what do you expect out of him next season?
Assuming he remains with the Jets as expected, do you think he’ll have a bounce-back year and regain his old MVP form?
What’s more likely: Rodgers serving as Vice President or Rodgers winning a Super Bowl with the Jets???
